CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Dallas Crawford rushed for 137 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns, leading No. 10 Miami to a 27-23 comeback win over UNC on Thursday night at Kenan Stadium.
Crawford led a 234-yard rushing attack for the Hurricanes (6-0, 2-0 ACC), who got 322 yards passing on 19-for-35 from Stephen Morris. But he was intercepted four times.
Eric Ebron caught eight passes for 199 yards and a touchdown for struggling UNC (1-5, 0-3), which lost its fourth straight game. Ebron’s performance made for the best single-game numbers for any tight end in Tar Heel history.
Bryn Renner completed 28 of 36 passes for 297 yards and a touchdown with one interception for UNC. T.J. Logan was the Tar Heels’ leading rusher with 61 yards on 16 carries.
Allen Hurns caught six passes for 98 yards for Miami, which avenged an 18-14 home loss to the Tar Heels last season.
UNC’s next game is at home on Oct. 26 against Boston College.
