(Note: No years with less than 4 named storms through August 30th, since 2000)
During the 2000 Atlantic Hurricane Season, four named storms occurred through August 30th. (2 hurricanes and 2 tropical storms)
Thereafter, 10 named storms occurred through the remainder of the season, seven of which occurred during the month of September, with the remaining 3 occurring in October. (6 hurricanes and 4 tropical storms)
