The Huntsville Botanical Garden will show the animated Disney classic, "Alice in Wonderland" (1951), on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 6 pm in the garden amphitheatre. Tickets for the event are $5 per person, which includes a bag of popcorn. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Refreshments will be available for purchase, but guests can also bring their own coolers with them to the screening.

The original Disney movie, adapted from the books by Lewis Carroll, features the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Sterling Holloway, Ed Wynn, and Verna Felton, and it is beloved today for its unique mixture of fantasy and music. The Huntsville Botanical Garden is showing the movie as a kickoff event for its exhibit, Alice's Garden of Wonders, which runs from Thursday, May 1, 2014, through Sunday, August 31, 2014.
