According to an April 23 tweet from The Paramount, discounted tickets are now available for Whoopi Goldberg's upcoming Long Island comedy show performance. Goldberg, 58, is doing a show on April 26 at Huntington's hottest performing arts venue, and fans now have a chance to scoop up tickets for a very reasonable rate.
The Paramount, a new venue located in the heart of Huntington Village, is offering $25 off Mezzanine level seating for Goldberg's gig, while supplies last. The Paramount is a very intimate venue with a limited amount of seats, so these tickets are sure to sell out quickly. Fans interested in this offer should punch in the code "Comedy," while navigating the Ticketmaster website.
Goldberg, a New York native, will be taking the Paramount stage as a one-woman show, and her set is expected to be of the adult variety. She says her live performances aren't exactly meant to be standup comedy shows. Goldberg's live show is expected to feature a lot of story-telling, with some comedy sprinkled in. Her shows are often off-the-cuff, with lots of spontaneous jokes included.
Goldberg, co-host of the award-winning show, "The View," is one of just three people in the world to have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award. Mel Brooks and Audrey Hepburn are the only other people to have done so. Goldberg is also well-known for her film and stage work.
From "The Color Purple" to "Sister Act," Goldberg has appeared in more than a handful of great films over the past 25 years. Perhaps her most memorable role was as a psychic in 1990's "Ghost." Long Island comedy fans will have a rare opportunity to see Goldberg in an intimate live performance setting this weekend, as she hits The Paramount on April 26.
There are just a limited amount of tickets still available, and they are going fast. Long Island comedy fans interested in scooping up tickets may do so by following instructions on The Paramount website. Ticketmaster.com also has tickets available for Goldberg's Paramount gig.
