Book Revue in Huntington is a frequent supporter of local authors, established and aspiring alike. In addition to their showcase of local work, they host book discussion groups, meetings of the Long Island’s Writers Guild, and book signings several days a week. This month Huntington welcomes Nicole Miller, PhD, established writer, lecturer and life coach.
Miller is offering her services to aspiring writers with two workshops, Write that Book and The Hero Workshop on January 11th and 12th, respectively. Write that Book encourages aspiring authors to flesh out a story from start to finish. During the five hour workshop, Miller will coach the group with discussion, story outlines and writing exercises designed to build the individual narrative. The Hero Workshop will focus on the Hero’s quest. The two hour group will invite attendees to read myths, discuss hero archetypes and engage in writing exercises to build their own heros.
Write that Book is being held on January 11 from 11am to 4pm and The Hero Workshop on January 12 from 11am to 1pm. Registration is required at nicolekavnermiller.com/upcoming-events
