The Boston Cemetery has a reputation of being haunted. According to one of the legends, a ghost is often found sitting somewhere in the cemetery. Native American spirits are also witnessed from time to time. There are hundreds of other stories and legends regarding the area and many people refer to it as Helltown.
History
The Boston Cemetery was officially established in 1833 after George Stanford donated his family burial grounds to serve as the town's cemetery. The first known burial occurred in 1814. Native Americans once used the land and some people believe that the cemetery was once their burial mound.
Haunted History
The cemetery is rumored to be haunted by a ghost that sits on a bench and stares into the woods. Native American spirits are also believed to linger in the the area.
Location
The Boston Cemetery is located at the end of Main Street, in Boston, Ohio.
