Hunting the haunted: Bath Township's Herrick House

The Herrick House at the Hale Farm and Village is rumored to be haunted. The house is part of Wheatfield, a living history museum within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Visitors and workers have encountered odd things in this recreated village. Many of them have even seen the village's ghosts. Nearly everyone who visits this haunted history museum notices there is a creepy feel to the village.

History
The Herick House is located at the Hale Farm and Village, a museum that is nestled within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Herrick House was built in 1845 for Jonathan and Phila Herrick and their family. The house was originally constructed in Twinsburg, Ohio. After Jonathan passed away, the house was willed to Anna Simmonds, one of his former employees. The house was later donated to the Western Reserve Historical Society for preservation.

The Herrick House is part of Wheatfield, a small village that the WRHS recreated in 1958. The village is a living history museum and actors recreate situations from the 1860s.

The Hale Farm and Village has guided tours and various programs throughout the year.

Haunted History
The entire Hale Farm and Village is allegedly haunted. The Herrick House is believed to be haunted. A lot of people have witnessed fleeting shadows and some have even have seen a ghost. Many visitors and most of the staff have ghost stories from their encounters with the village's spirits.

The Herrick House is located in the Hale Farm and Village, at 2686 Oak Hill Road, in Bath Township, Ohio.
