There are quite a few castles in the state of Ohio. All of them seem to have ghost stories. The ghost that is believed to haunt Glamorgan Castle is Colonel Morgan, the former owner. Many people have witnessed odd things in and out of the castle. Some of them think it is haunted.
History
The Glamorgan Castle was built in 1905 for Colonel William Morgan and his family. Colonel Morgan was the son of Thomas Morgan, founder of the Morgan Engineering Company. Colonel Morgan died in 1928 and his wife later sold the castle to the Elk Lodge in 1939.
The Alliance City School District offices are located in the castle and the school district offers guided tours of the historic estate throughout the year.
Haunted History
Staff of the Alliance City School District have witnessed and encountered strange things in the Glamorgan Castle over the years. Some of them think that the estate has a ghost. Colonel Morgan's spirit supposedly still lingers in the castle.
Location
The Glamorgan Castle is located at 200 Glamorgan Street, in Alliance, Ohio.
