Hunting the haunted: Akron's South Street Cemetery

The South Street Cemetery is rumored to be a haunted hangout for the spirits of Summit Lake. The whole area seems to be haunted, even some of the nearby homes. Visitors have observed floating white lights in the cemetery at night. Some folks claim to have seen the ghosts.

History
The Sons of Peace Cemetery was established in 1897 and is the oldest Orthodox cemetery in the area. It is also known as the South Street Jewish Cemetery.

Haunted History
The cemetery is believed to be haunted by the spirits of Summit Lake. Strange ghost lights are often witnessed late at night and no one seems to have an explanation to what they might be.

Location
The South Street Jewish Cemetery is located at South Street and Lakeshore Boulevard, in Akron, Ohio.
