Hunterdon County Rotary Clubs invite soup-lovers to sixth annual soup cook-off

On Monday, Feb. 25 from 5-7 p.m., the Hunterdon County Rotary Clubs will be hosting the annual Hunterdon County Soup Cook-Off. Up to 20 professional chefs will enter and compete for the ‘Best Soup in Hunterdon County’.

Admission to the soup cook-off is $10 for adults, $8 for children 5-to 8-years-old and children under 5 are free. They also ask that everyone bring a can of food for the food pantry. Tasters will be given a sample size cup of each soup and asked to vote for their favorite. The Hunterdon County Polytech Culinary Arts students will be providing rolls and desserts. The winner will be announced at the end of the event.

The proceeds of the cook-off will be donated to food pantries in Hunterdon County. The 2012 event raised over $6500.

The cook off will be held at Hunterdon Central Regional High School Commons, 29 Junction Road, Flemington, NJ 08822.
