On July 29 country music singer Hunter Hayes released an official music video for the single "Tattoo" on his YouTube channel. The video was directed by Kristin Barlowe and it is just under three and a half minutes long. You can watch Hunter Hayes' official "Tattoo" music video here.
The video was inspired by street art, animated graphics and graffiti acts as the backdrop to Hayes' performance. In the "Tattoo" music video, Hayes is hanging out in an abandoned building with a very beautiful girl. The video switches back and forth between scenes of Hayes singing while playing his guitar and shots of him hanging out with the girl.
According to an official press release, the song was written by Hayes and Nashville songwriters Barry Dean and Troy Verges
With a song like 'Tattoo,' it's a very visual thing," Hayes told People Country. "So, for the video, rather than just explain how a relationship can inspire you, we wanted to go beyond the expected and make a musically inspired moment jump out of a two-dimensional space."
The song "Tattoo" is the second single from Hunter Hayes' sophomore studio album, Storyline. The album was released on May 6 via Atlantic Nashville and reached No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The lead single from that album was "Invisible". He is currently touring in support of that album.
Hayes' debut studio album was self-titled and it was released in October of 2011. That album featured his hit singles "Storm Warning", "Wanted", and "Somebody's Heartbreak".
