Hunter Hayes announces ‘Tattoo (Your Name) Tour’ at Today Show performance

Country superstar Hunter Hayes announced a new 15-date tour beginning in October named the Tattoo (Your Name) Tour taking him, and label mates Dan + Shay, and The Railers out on the road through much of the East Coast, as well as select dates in Canada.

Hayes stated, “This tour is definitely going to be different than anything we’ve ever done before…and maybe anyone has ever done.” No specific details were given but the young guitar slinger went on to say that every one of his tours is for the fans, and this one was created to include them in the aspect of the show. “Not only are they going to be part of the show, they are the show…you’ll see what I mean!"

On the Today Show Plaza, Hayes came out displaying a freshly inked henna tattoo arm sleeve with the emblems of each city scheduled for the tour. To the surprise and delight of the crowd, three henna artists went throughout the plaza giving fans henna tattoos of the tour logo. Hayes played his hit single “Tattoo” from his latest album Storyline, and obviously title of the tour, along with number 1 hit “I Want Crazy” and crowd pleaser “Invisible”.

A video for the tour announcement also followed, with Dan + Shay, and The Railers getting tattoos in a tattoo parlor, while Hayes, avoiding the needle, plays a solo acoustic version of the Sister Sledge classic “We Are Family”. The Tattoo (Your Name) Tour starts October 30 in University Park, Pennsylvania.
