January 31, 2012 – Hunted by Night, starring heartthrob Jeancarlos Canela, was released on DVD today. Canela, of Cuban descent, is better known for his roles in telenovelas like “Mas Sabe el Diablo” and “Mi Corazon Insiste” and for his participation with rapper Pitbull in the song “Tu Cuerpo.”
Acquired by MTI Home Video, a leading film studio for independent filmmakers, Hunted by Night is the story of a man with everything going for him – good looks, good principles, good training – on a hunting trip in the Florida Everglades with two of his friends. As they begin what should have been an innocent weekend, they witness a drop of bails of drugs worth millions of dollars and are faced with acting like law abiding citizens or risking it all for the love of money. Their decision takes them to a confrontation with a drug cartel that outnumbers them and out-guns them.
The film is not rated, but be advised that it deals with very adult subjects – drugs, violence, and language. It is 115 minutes long with English and Spanish subtitles.
