Hunt the Hunter is one of the newest "Theros" spoilers revealed today Sept. 2, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set in a tweet by Elaine Chase. Hunt the Hunter can be a powerful green uncommon sorcery that pumps one of your green creatures and destroy one of your opponent's threats. All for just one green mana.
Hunt the Hunter - G
Target green creature you control gets +2/+2 until end of turn. It fights target green creature an opponent controls.
"A grudge is a tattoo worn on the inside."
-Setessan Warrior saying
Hunt the Hunter will always give your creature +2/+2 and sometimes do more. The downside to Hunt the Hunter is that it's a sorcery and not an instant. That means you can't cast Hunt the Hunter during combat or on your opponent's turn. Another negative is that Hunt the Hunter can only allow your green creatures to fight other green creatures. Because the "Return to Ravnica" block was so heavily multicolored there may be a better chance than you'd expect of hitting a green creature in constructed, however in "Theros" limited your chances may drop rapidly.
One place Hunt the Hunter may shine is in your sideboard. Against another aggressive green deck, you'll be able to use Hunt the Hunter to take out early mana producers like Elvish Mystic and Gyre Sage. Hunt the Hunter may not be the best card we've seen from "Theros," however in some rare cases it'll make a huge impact on the outcome of your duel.
How will you use Hunt the Hunter?
