Hunt Brothers Pizza will serve as an associate sponsor of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick and the No. 4 team of Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) beginning in 2014, the team announced Monday in a press release.
Hunt Brothers Pizza, the nation’s largest brand of made-to-order pizza in the convenience store industry, aligned with Harvick in 2009 and the partnership will continue in 2014 when Harvick moves to SHR.
“We’re very proud to enter our seventh year in NASCAR with Kevin Harvick and Stewart-Haas Racing,” said Keith Solsvig, vice president of marketing for Hunt Brothers Pizza. “Kevin and his wife DeLana have been excellent brand ambassadors, so much so that they have their very own Hunt Brothers Pizza oven in their kitchen. It’s that kind of authenticity that made continuing our partnership with Kevin Harvick a very easy decision.”
JR Motorsports also announced Monday that Harvick will compete in at least 12 Nationwide Series races next season with JR Motorsports and that Hunt Brothers Pizza will serve as Harvick’s primary sponsor for both events at Texas Motor Speedway and one race each at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway.
Harvick will join Tony Stewart, Danica Patrick and Kurt Busch at SHR in the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup driver lineup. He will also compete in at least 12 Nationwide Series races next season with JR Motorsports, where he will pilot the No. 5 Chevrolet, an entry that has been fielded by seven different drivers this year. SHR does not run cars in the Nationwide series.
