Graf’s Mobil Mart has recently opened a Hunt Brothers Pizza location within the restaurant area of the building located at 1025 Lake Street in Algoma, Wisconsin. Owners Jim and Teri Graf are currently running the restaurant with the help of their son, Gus, who is store manager and their daughter, Betsy, who works for Social Security Administration of Marinette. The Grafs have another son, Gabe, who is a Production Geologist for Sumitomo Mining in Alaska and one daughter-in-law, Leann.
Hunt Brothers Pizza is the nation’s largest independent brand of hot, fresh baked, made-to-order pizza in the convenience store industry. They currently have over 7000 locations across the United States, not only in convenience stores, but also sport arenas, country markets, schools and universities.
Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Hunt Brothers Pizza was established in 1990. With over 50 years of experience, its roots actually go back to 1962, when four brothers from Evansville, Indiana - Don, Lonnie, Jim and Charlie Hunt, who grew up working in their family restaurant, began their own small pizza operation called Pepe’s Pizza.
Unlike other pizza brands in the country, Hunt Brothers Pizza offers up to 10 toppings including Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Beef, Bacon, Mushrooms, Onions, Bell Peppers, Black Olives, Banana Peppers and Jalapeno Peppers all at no extra charge. Their slogan, “Made for Me” originates from the fact that it allows their customers to enjoy hot, delicious pizza, in approximately 10 minutes, with their choice of only the freshest of toppings on their choice of either original or thin crusts.
Hunt Brothers Pizza also offers a one-quarter-pizza slice ‘Hunk of Pizza’ in different varieties for the consumer on the go. Sold from the warmers throughout the day, they have become a very popular and convenient snack or lunch item to just ‘grab and go’.
“We like to think of Hunt Brothers Pizza as a cross between fast food and restaurant style dining. You can enjoy your food relatively fast and because everything is basically considered finger food, it can all be served in boxes,” Teri said. “We do offer a casual dining experience so whether you decide to carry out or dine in; it really makes no difference either way. Call-ins are always welcome.”
Breakfast hunks are available until 10:30am while whole breakfast pizzas can also be purchased throughout the day as well. The Breakfast Pizza is made up of scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast sausage and two different kinds of cheeses on a buttery crust.
Also available on the menu are Hunt Brothers Wings and Wingbites. The bone-in chicken Wings are available in both Spicy and Southern Style while the boneless chunks of chicken breast meat, Wingbites, come in both Buffalo and Homestyle.
Specialty pizzas such as Buffalo Chicken and Philly Cheesesteak Pizzas may also be offered at different times of the year as limited time special offers.
Hunt Brothers Pizza has a strong presence in the NASCAR community, partnering with Richard Childress Racing, Kevin Harvick Incorporated and Richard Petty Motorsports. They have sponsored drivers such as A.J. Allmendinger and Elliott Sadler and are currently primarily sponsoring Kevin Harvick, along with the addition of two new drivers to the lineup this year, brothers Austin and Ty Dillon.
Hunt Brothers Pizza also sponsors impressive contests and sweepstakes throughout the year. In 2012, they partnered with Realtree®, the biggest and most respected name in the outdoor and hunting industry in their ‘Hunt to Win’ Sweepstakes. The grand prize was a Realtree® designed camouflaged 4x4 hunting ATV- the Bad Boy® Buggies Recoil IS. Plans are underway for a similar Realtree® Sweepstakes to take place again this year. Their recent RCR Fan Experience Sweepstakes is sending the lucky winner to North Carolina races, including a behind-the-scenes ‘meet and greet’ photo session, pit and garage tour plus more with Richard Childress Racing. They are currently partnering with Holiday Inn Resorts for their Hawaiian Vacation Sweepstakes with the launch of their new limited time Hawaiian Pizza. You can enter daily at www.huntbrotherspizza.com to win the Hawaiian vacation package for four to Waikiki Beachcomber Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii. No purchase is necessary to win.
“We’ve had such an overwhelming initial response from the community and surrounding areas within the first few weeks of opening that three additional staff members from Hunt Brothers Pizza were called in to help with the overload,” said Jim Graf. “Now that it has turned to a more manageable pace, we hope that the communities will continue to visit us because, without them, we would not be able to offer this unique dining alternative to Algoma. Thank you to all who continue to support Hunt Brothers Pizza – Algoma.”
Hunt Brothers Pizza is available in Graf’s Mobil Mart between the hours of 4:30am until 9:00pm and can be reached at 920-487-2527.
