On Friday, Nov. 22, the wait will finally be over, as the highly anticipated sci-fi thriller sequel “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will be taking over the BIGGEST screen in South Florida at AutoNation IMAX Theater.

In the new film, Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever. This film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action.
Filming occurred on location in Oahu, Hawaii Atlanta, Georgia and Ringwood State Park, New Jersey. Hunger Games: Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence (Hunger Games 1) and screenplay written by Simon Beaufoy (“Slumdog Millionaire”). The film stars Jennifer Lawrence (“X-Men; First Class), Liam Hemsworth (“The Expendables 2”), Josh Hutcherson (“Journey to the Center of the Earth”, and Elizabeth Banks (“Pitch Perfect”).
The ensemble cast also includes Lenny Kravitz, Amanda Plummer, Toby Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Megan Hayes, and Donald Sutherland.
