Brandywine is the popular red-pink beefsteak style tomato that produces huge yields of very large tomatoes on indeterminate vines that definitely require support. Brandywine has a well-deserved reputation for outstanding taste.
High Carotene is the name of this tomato, it is reported as having 2 to 3 times the carotene and thus of vitamin A compared to more conventional tomatoes. The fruits are about 3” in diameter.
Burpee can always be counted on for a tomato surprise and this year they are offering the Super Sauce Roma style tomato, weighing in at a nearly unbelievable 2 pounds! You can have a lot of sauce in a real hurry if this great looking tomato lives up to its press.
