Hundred-Handed One is one of the newest "Theros" spoilers revealed today Sept. 2, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set in an article by Ethan Fleischer on DailyMTG.com.
Hundred-Handed One - 2WW
Creature - Giant (Rare)
3WWW: Monstrosity 3. (If this creatuer isn't monstrous, put three +1/+1 counters on it and it becomes monstrous.)
As long as Hundred-Handed One is monstrous, it has reach and can block an additional ninety-nine creatures each combat.
Hundred-Handed One is an efficient blocker that can get in for some damage thanks to vigilance. It's when Hundred-Handed One becomes monstrous though that this Giant can truly defend your side of the battlefield. Hundred-Handed One will transform into a 6/8 vigilance creature that can block 100 attacks, one for each of its hands.
The few times your opponent will have such an overwhelming amount of threats on the battlefield will generally be when they've assembled some sort of infinite combo, say with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker.
Hundred-Handed One is an absolute house in limited: Your opponent isn't breaking through your defenses unless they have trample or removal. Granted there's a high chance you'll lose Hundred-Handed one when your opponent commits to an alpha-strike with all their creatures due to combat damage (he only has a toughness of eight), however you'll be able to take out a threat or two of theirs and they'll be leaving themselves vulnerable to your reprisal.
How will you use Hundred-Handed One?
