Humor writer David Sedaris comes to Denver for eight performances

Denver audiences may determine what David Sedaris will include in his new book Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls when he presents select readings from his manuscript in eight performances in January, 2013. Denver Center Attractions announced his show Works in Progress: An Intimate Evening with David Sedaris yesterday. This is a rare opportunity for Denver.

The best-selling author and NPR contributor will determine the final edits to his publication partly from the audience reactions to his stage presentation. The book is scheduled to be out in April 2013.

With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, David Sedaris has become one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers. He is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers addressing the human condition today.

“We are thrilled to host this as it has been done on a very limited basis in the past—perhaps 6 times only. Due to his past success in Denver with presenter Nancy Rebek, we were approached to be part of this unprecedented week,” says Denver Center President & Executive Director of Denver Center Attractions, Randy Weeks.
