Low pressure over the upper Mid West will track east into the Great Lakes by this evening. A deep southerly flow of tropical moisture will stream across our area today. The atmosphere will become unstable enough to support scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
The low will track into Ontario tonight, dragging a cold front southeastward into the lower lakes. We will see a muggy night with considerable cloud cover and the threat of scattered showers and storms.
We may see a break in the showers activity Tuesday morning, but additional showers and storms are possible Tuesday afternoon as the cold front crosses the area.
The front will settle south of the area Tuesday night where it will become stationary. There is a chance of showers and storms Tuesday evening, but the activity should taper off by midnight.
Wednesday morning should be dry. Low pressure will develop across the lower Great Lakes Wednesday, and track east along the stalled-out front to our south. A large complex of thunderstorms is forecast to track east across the lower lakes, reaching Ohio by late afternoon.
