Humble Indie Bundle V features some terrifying gaming action at a frighteningly low price point. In this particular package players are treated to DRM-free copies of the nightmare inducing Amnesia: The Dark Descent, dark platformer LIMBO, legendary Psychonauts, and Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP. If that wasn’t enough, players that opt to pay more than the average price of admission will get a copy of Bastion as well. Oh, and players get soundtracks to all the titles they unlock in multiple formats.
The Humble Indie Bundles are well known for stretching one’s gaming dollar, as the process is quite different than snagging a game at a retail store or digital download from Steam. Players have the opportunity to pay “whatever’s fair” and pick up some indie titles on the cheap or choose to donate whatever amount they wish. An additional title is unlocked if the user decides to pay more than the average price. Players can chose how to allocate the donation between developers, charities, or tipping the Humble Indie Bundle.
The Humble Indie Bundle V looks to be the best of the bundles thus far, and that’s really saying something. Each game is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux, and can optionally be redeemed on Steam if you choose more than $1.
