Like a flat earth belief that was once taught, it has been taught that modern Humans were in Africa between 60,000 and 80,000 years ago and got to Europe about 40,000 years ago. Now we know it is believed the Neanderthals were alive and well in Africa 600,000 years ago. If true then humans were also alive and well also. How do we know this? Because Neanderthals lived along side with Humans.
Researchers working in caves in Israel found skeletons of both Neanderthals and modern humans. These Neanderthal remains have been dated back 60,000 years and human skeletons to 92,000 years. This would have humans around way before the Neanderthals. Did you know that?
Genetic research tells us humans and Neanderthals could have had the same language and is believed that Neanderthals and early humans living 40-60,000 years ago could have mated successfully.
It is held now that Neanderthals were far more advanced than we had believed and it now seems possible that Neanderthals may have painted some of Spain's Paleolithic cave paintings. And new findings suggests the Neanderthals were using boats about a 100,000 years ago, according to Thomas Strasser of Providence College in Rhode Island.
California Coastal Archaeological sites now have a strong belief that the first Americans were in fact, Neanderthals and could have arrived by boat. This is based on an adult male Neanderthal skull found off the coast of California and dates back about 50,000 years. How a Neanderthal got to California so long ago, and how his remains ended up beneath 456 ft. of seawater is still a mystery.
Since time seems to change most facts, guess we will have to wait and see what else will be found before we will know the truth of things.
