Humane Society Spay Day online pet photo contest

Do you think your cat or kitten is the cutest ever? Here's your chance to prove it by entering the Humane Society of the United States' (HSUS) online pet photo contest. By doing so you get the chance to win great prizes and can help raise funds to help animals. Proceeds benefit the 16th annual Spay Day, which is on Feb. 23, 2010, and involves worldwide events promoting spay and neuter of pets and feral cats.

The grand prize winner will receive a studio session with a premier pet photographer, plus a $500 shopping spree at the HSUS online store and other prizes. Ten runners up will receive a $200 shopping spree at the online store and other prizes. Twenty five finalists will receive a free copy of "Pet Photography 101: Tips for taking better photos of your dog or cat" by Andrew Darlow.

Enter any time through 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 26, 2010. Voting runs through 10:00 p.m. EST on March 4, 2010. The cost to vote is a $1 donation. Top fundraisers will also will prizes, including a weekend trip for two to Hollywood for the 2011 Genesis Awards.

The contest is open to not only to cats and dogs, but also to rabbits, horses, burros, donkeys, mules, miniature horses, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, rats, canaries, budgies, cockatiels, zebra finches, society finches, lovebirds, and freshwater aquarium fish.
