This past Sunday, Oct 20, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton held their first annual all-you-can-eat chocolate fundraiser at the Miami Valley School, 5151 Denise Drive. The purchase of a ticket provided access to an overwhelming variety of chocolate cookies, candy (including the chocolate fudge that won best-of-show at the Montgomery County Fair), cakes, pots de creme, truffles and so much more. Both professional chocolatiers and home bakers participated in the event , and the variety of chocolate items was absolutely outstanding.
The live jazz band provided an excellent backdrop to the event, and a silent auction was also running concurrently with the chocolate feast! Washing it all down was the job of the volunteers at the milk bar! Some of the cutest adoptable pets EVER were on hand from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. All proceeds benefit the animals in the Humane Society of Greater Dayton’s Foster Program.
