Human Trafficking (Video)

Cross Points Church at 6824 Lackman Road, Shawnee, Kan., will host an event Jan. 31st to help publicize the unbelievably brutal international crime called Human Trafficking. The church will show a film called “Nefarious” and a video called “Tears for my sisters.”

Criminal operators search for young people who need financial support. Promising jobs in some foreign country where the people do not know the language or any persons, they will establish horrible, cruel brothels, taking advantage of the helpless “slaves” they will sell for sex and rape to the populace.

This has been going on for years, centuries, bringing tortuous physical suffering to the lives of the slaves.

At last persons around the world, people like actress Ashley Judd, became horrified at the savage vice. She has promoted revealing who is operating this atrocity and work towards breaking up of the slaves' unspeakable bondage.

Police cooperate when those places are identified and break up the brothel slavery. Strangely they concentrate on the owners and release the slaves, but no one seems to find it criminal to frequent those places and do lucrative business with the operators.

So, when the law identifies and breaks up a brothel the prisoners are left with nothing in a strange country.

One way to help these individuals is through a truly heart touching way by collecting used purses, pocket books, and shampoo, bath soaps, and other hygiene items. These give the victims a sense of worthiness and human value.

In order to contribute to this effort, please drop items at Cross Points Church or Haven Baptist Church, 3430 Hutton Road, Kansas City Kan.
