Authorities found human remains in a crocodile and it is the discovery is linked to a missing 62-year-old man. The man had been fishing with his family when he was snatched off his boat by a crocodile. CNN shared the details on Monday.

The man's wife, son and daughter-in-law watched in horror as the crocodile pulled the man out of the boat, and sadly they were unable to save him. Due to the remote location of the incident, the wife and daughter-in-law had to drive for two hours before they could get cellphone reception and alert authorities.

Park rangers and officers searched the area throughout the weekend, using boats and a helicopter, and eventually two large crocodiles near the area of the incident were spotted. Rangers shot both animals, and the human remains were in one of the crocodiles. At this point the man's name has not been released.

MSN News shares that the crocodile was more than 15 feet long, and the two animals were found about a mile from where the man had been pulled from the boat in Kakadu National Park. This is actually the second deadly crocodile attack in the area this year, as a 12-year-old died after an attack in January.

Few other details regarding the family involved have been revealed, though clearly this is a heartbreaking tragedy for them. The Northern Territory Police Force shared an update on their Facebook page regarding the tragedy, sharing that their thoughts are with the family during this time. The statement indicates that the human remains in the crocodile are indeed those of the 62-year-old man, and they will prepare a report for the Coroner.
