File under the sad but true section for all of us who have grown to love Hulu’s free content.
Where else can you watch an old TV show from your childhood such as Leave it Beaver or Magnum P.I and then switch to the latest episode of Monk all for free right on your computer?
Hulu can be used to visit old friends, learn how to cook a recipe, enjoy shows you never knew existed or catch an episode of your favorite show.
All you have to do is go over to Hulu and choose what you want to watch. And if you aren’t sure, you can browse by show, or TV channel or even favorites. And with a simple click, you were watching!
But sadly, things are about to change. Chase Carey, deputy chairman of News Corp. announced that Hulu would soon begin charging users stating:
“I think a free model is a very difficult way to capture the value of our content.
I think what we need to do is deliver that content to consumers in a way where they will appreciate the value.
Hulu concurs with that, it needs to evolve to have a meaningful subscription model as part of its business.”
While we can’t stop them from charging we can enjoy their services before the change. And to that note I give you some fun Thanksgiving episodes from old TV shows and a variety of Christmas ones. Enjoy – while it’s still free.
