Hulk Hogan to host Wrestlemania XXX

According to a Feb. 21 report from WWE.com, WWE legend Hulk Hogan will be hosting Wrestlemania XXX.

“We are thrilled that Hulk Hogan has returned home to WWE,” WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon said. “It’s fitting to have him help us celebrate 30 years of WrestleMania and usher in a new era with the launch of WWE Network.”

The event, which is set for Apr. 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, now officially has one of the biggest names in the history of pro wrestling as its host.

“Words cannot express how excited I am to be back in the WWE family,” Hogan said. “I only have one question for the WWE Universe: Whatcha you gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild as the host of WrestleMania 30?”

Hogan hasn't appeared inside the WWE since 2007, as he has spent the past few years competing under the TNA banner.

Hogan recently left TNA, so that fueled rumors that he would be returning to the WWE fold. On Feb. 21, those rumors became reality after the WWE announced that Hogan would be hosting the historic event set for this April.

Wrestlemania XXX will be the first WrestleMania to be held in the state of Louisiana, and also the first WWE pay-per-view to broadcast live on the upcoming WWE Network service.

So far, the event features Batista in a singles match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. In all likelihood, Batista will be battling it out with The Undertaker.

Wrestlemania XXX will also likely feature top WWE superstars such as Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, The Wyatt Family and The Shield.

Inviting Hogan to host is a huge bonus for WWE fans, as he truly is a living legend.
