Hulk Hogan sues Laser Spine Institute

Hulk Hogan, the former heavyweight wrestling champion of the world, is suing the Florida based Laser Spine Institute for 50 million dollars. The real life Terry Bollea is suing the institute claiming that doctors at the facility lied to him about what to expect from the results of the back surgeries. The sum of the 50 million dollars that Hogan is seeking stems from lost wages. He states that he missed out on several entertainment opportunities that would have netted him tens of millions of dollars. Despite not naming what those opportunities are, one would imagine it would be wrestling appearances.

The once mighty Hulkster, an 80s icon to wrestling fans worldwide, received multiple surgeries at the Laser Spine Institute. However, those surgeries proved unnecessary, as Hogan later needed traditional back surgery. Hogan claims the traditional back surgery made him feel much better than the surgeries performed at the Laser Spine Institute.

In addition, Hulk Hogan is claiming that the Laser Spine Institute used his likeness and image to promote their business without his permission. The company has publicly acknowledged the lawsuit but made no further comment on the litigation..

Despite his ongoing trials and tribulations, Hulk Hogan has still been able to be a fixture on the pro wrestling scene. He is currently playing the role of general manager for TNA Impact Wrestling. Although he is unable to wrestle, the legendary grappler is a main focus for each show, with his personality involved in many different storylines. Hogan is currently involved in the Aces and Eights invasion story, as well as being a father in distress, as his real life daughter Brooke is set to marry on air personality Bully Ray.

For Hogan, the courtroom seems to be a second home. He also has a lawsuit filed against the website Gawker for 100 million dollars. The celebrity gossip site released a one minute video of the D-List celebrity in June 2012. It has since been viewed by millions of people worldwide. Given the ridiculous amount of money that Hogan is suing the Laser Spine Institute for, it is expected that the LSI insurance company will settle out of court.
