Hugh Jackman has been plagued by rumors that he’s gay for quite some time. He admits that his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, is getting tired of it saying, “Just recently, it bugs her. She goes, 'It's big. It's everywhere!’”
The 44-year-old actor gushed about how he met Furness on the set of “Correlli,” an Australian television series that aired on ABC in 1995. He said meeting her "was 10 times better than my single life. She was very beautiful. She was unbelievably fun - this energy, this spirit - irrepressible. And she had a confidence in herself. I had a massive crush on her instantly."
The couple has been married for 16 years. Furness, who is 13 years older than Jackman, had two miscarriages early in their marriage. They ended up adopting two children, Ava, 7, and Oscar 12.
“X-Men” producer Lauren Shuler Donner believes Deborra is the love of Jackman’s life, "I have seen him with Deborra since the beginning of their trip to Hollywood, and I've been on five movie sets with him and have never seen him stray, have never seen him eye anyone. I met him when he did 'Oklahoma!' [at London's Royal National Theatre in 1999]. He was genuine, hugely talented. He was in love with his wife that day and still is."
