Hugh Hefner is once again a married man. The 86-year-old founder of Playboy magazine wed Crystal Harris, 26, at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve, Us Weekly reported on Dec. 31.
Crystal Harris, a model and former Playboy Playmate, recently opened her own lingerie store, Femme Fatale, in Studio City, Calif. The bride kept the nuptials as private as possible, but it was clear that Hefner and Harris intended to marry when they obtained a marriage license in early December 2012. Crystal says her renewed bond with Hefner is solid.
“When the wedding didn’t work out the first time, it was because of me. I needed to explore out there and take time away [from Hef and the Mansion]. The time away really helped make me realize that where I’m meant to be is here with Hef. Our relationship is better than it ever has been before. I’m very happy and Hef’s very happy and we’re excited.”
This is the third marriage for Hugh Hefner, who married Mildred Williams in 1949 and had two children together, Christie and David. Hefner and Williams divorced in 1959. Hefner married Playmate of the Year Kimberly Conrad in 1989, and the couple has two sons together, Marston and Cooper. The couple split in 1998, but did not officially divorce until 2009.
Hefner once dated Holly Madison, who is expecting a baby with boyfriend Pasquale Rotella, and Kendra Wilkinson, who married NBA player Hank Basket in 2009 at the Playboy Mansion. Hef’s past girlfriends include Barbie Benton, Brande Roderick and Bridget Marquardt.
