Hugh Douglas, the ESPN analyst who was fired, is in trouble again. As reported at ESPN on Sept. 25, 2013, the 42-year-old former NFL football player was charged with strangulation and assault after allegedly grabbing his girlfriend by the throat, in the hallway of a Harford, Conn. hotel, and slamming her into walls while he carried her to their room. Douglas supposedly told police it all happened as a result of "rough sex." Douglas is now due in court on Oct. 21, 2013 after posting $50,000 bail.
Is the former Defensive end, who played in the NFL for the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles from 1995 to 2004, on a downward spiral? When Hugh Douglas was an ESPN analyst, he had a good gig going with “Numbers Never Lie” co-host Michael Smith before he was fired in August 2013.
Celebrity Net Worth says Douglas has a net worth of $10 million. However, he can blow through that fairly quickly without a job and legal fees. If Hugh continues to get into trouble, that very well could happen.
What do you think of Hugh Douglas since his ESPN gig? Please leave a comment.
