A YouTube user from Rome, Italy who goes by the mononym "longino" posted a mysterious video online that reportedly shows a UFO sighting that took place on Saturday, August 20, 2011. The video is getting a lot of attention, and even some criticism from incredulous viewers.
The video shows the city of Rome at night. The darkness is broken only by the lights on the exteriors of tall buildings and the numerous blinking and flickering lights attached to an enormous UFO that hovers overhead.
At least five lights can be seen on the side of the UFO that faces the camera. They blink and flicker on and off with no discernible pattern. The unidentified flying object did not appear to change position or location in the sky throughout the two minutes and 18 seconds that it was filmed. Nor do the flickering lights change position relative to each other, giving the impression that it is only one larger UFO versus several smaller objects.
The video was accompanied by a lengthy description on YouTube, written in Italian. Unfortunately, running the description through an online translator failed to produce a coherent transcription of the event captured on the video.
According to UFO Global Reporting Center: "Unknown lights were recorded hovering in the sky above Rome in Italy, it was looking like they belong to one craft.
