The Manchester Millrats front office recently went to Georgetown Prep, in Washington DC, to scout for potential talent that will give the franchise that, "extra edge." There were players from all over the world in attendance hoping to turn a few heads and earn an invitation to training camp.

One prospect from North Carolina made the choice to try and continue his career with the PBL, due to the respect that the league is currently getting. Another prospect from Pennsylvania said that the league was getting better every year and that he wanted to be a part of that. There was also players from Colorado, Vermont, Maryland, New York, Oklahoma, Indiana, Kansas, Connecticut, Michigan, Japan, and more.

The combine consisted of a full day of skill drills and games. As scouts from all of the PBL teams, including the new franchise from Puerto Rico, watched intently and took notes to evaluate as much of the talent as possible. During the games, players were not the only one under the microscope. the PBL Supervisor of Officials Phil DiMaso, was also on the lookout for next years crop of referees.

"It's busy, it's loud, and it's a vital part of our success as a league," said Tom Doyle, president and Chief Executive Office of the Premier Basketball League. "There is a lot of movement sure, but as you'll notice the high degree of organization involved. This is the second of the two steps necessary for us to find the very best players possible. Our league wants to showcase talent even better than in our previous seasons."
