Hug a Heart Homemade Valentine's Day Cards

Make your own Valentine’s Day cards that your child will LOVE to give to their Valentine. You will need scissors, card stock, a printer with colored ink, a camera, tape and candy.  If you don’t have all of these supplies you can easily pick them up at K-Mart on West 26th Street in Erie or at your local K-Mart store. Begin by posing your child as if they were hugging something big. Make sure you have them turn their body to the side so when you place the candy in their arms, the candy won’t be covering their face. Either print out your pictures on picture paper or on card stock. You may have to print a few test pages until you get it to the perfect size so the candy fits in your child’s arms correctly. You can also add some text to the card to personalize it. Once printed out using the correct size, cut slits above and below your child’s arms and insert the piece of candy.  Secure the piece of candy using clear tape on the back of the card. Your child will love how this turns out. You can use it with any type of candy such as chocolate, lollipops, hard candy, etc. Just pose your child according to the shape of the candy you will be using. Have fun with the poses and your child won’t be able to wait to hand out the Valentines.
