Hudson Gardens opens 2014 Season with Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Hudson Gardens and Event Center has kicked off their 2014 Summer Concert Series with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This is their 16th concert season doing the shows. The summer is once again going to be jammed packed with something for all tastes in music.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has been an American favorite for decades. Started in Long Beach California in 1966, and with hits like “Mr. Bojangles”, “Fishin’ in the Dark”, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, “Rocky Top”, “Cadillac Ranch” and “An American Dream” this group has made their way to the top of the charts many times.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band have been an acoustic group since their inception with fun harmonies as a core part of their sound. From 1984 – 2005 Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was nominated for numerous awards from Country Music Awards.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band original members Jeff Hanna and Jimmie Fadden are still with the current iteration of the band today insuring that their trademark sound will be greatly enjoyed in the beautiful surroundings of the Hudson Gardens and Event Center.
