Certain food and drink seem like they were made for each other. Their tastes and qualities blend together so well that consuming one with the other is like an act of divine inspiration. One good example is beer and cheese and Hubbell & Hudson Market is about to host another festival in celebration of these two culinary companions. Here are the facts:

Why:To taste and learn about beer, cheese, and pairings
Hubbell & Hudson is hosting this free admission event that will feature numerous vendors and will include samplings of various local, domestic and imported beers and cheeses. The event is intended both as a social festival and a learning experience, helping curious guests discover more about beer and cheese and help them become acquainted with new and unique pairings.
Hubbell & Hudson’s Second Annual Beer & Cheese Festival will include craft beer from multiple breweries, selected for their unique qualities that match up best with specific cheeses. Breweries will include St. Arnold, Left Hand, Stone, Real Ale, Regent, Sam Adams, Duff, Merchant Duvin, Independence, Southern Star, New Belgium, and many more. Cheese will be provided by suppliers like ABC Provisions, Martin preferred, Atalanta, Houston Dairymaids, Cheesy Girl Goats, European Imports, and, of course, Hubbell & Hudson itself plus a few others.
To encourage guests to be creative, Hubbell & Hudson’s Viking Cooking School will be featuring expert cheese maker Carmine Chiricio. This cheese- making guru will be teaching “For the Love of Mozzarella” class, an educational demonstration that will teach guests the fine art of making mozzarella cheese as well as some delicious applications for it.
For entertainment, guests will be treated to live music on the Hubbell & Hudson’s patio from Noon-6 PM. In addition, beer and cheese experts will be available to answer questions, including representatives from the local Kuykendhal Gran Brewers Home-Brew Club.
Hubbell & Hudson is located near the Woodland’s Mall, in the heart of the Houston suburb of the Woodlands. It should be a fun day of beer, cheese, entertainment, and education for all so mark your calendars and set aside some time for this July 4 weekend event.
