The third largest smartphone maker company after Samsung and Apple, Huawei, has recently launched a smartphone which it termed as the "fastest smartphone in the world." This much awaited device will be ready to hit the market around summer 2013. Firstly, it will be launched in Orange, France, followed by other markets.
The fastest smartphone has been named as "Ascend P2" and the reason behind using the adjective fastest is that it has faster download speeds in comparison to other smartphones. It has 4G LTE CAT4 connectivity, which helps in providing download speeds as high as 150 Mbps, depending upon the connection and carrier strength. This clearly indicates that Ascend P2 could deliver much faster download speeds than the wireless-networks of the present world.
The head of Huawei’s consumer business group, Richard Yu told reporters that this phone can easily work in more than 100 themes or looks. This will surely attract a larger mobile user audience towards the mobile giving it a larger consumer base.
Ascend P2 is not only the fastest smartphone instead it provides the world’s first 4.7-inch in-cell HD display in addition to the brightness rating of 300 nits and the resolution of 315 pixels per inch. It also supports the Huawei’s Magic Touch Technology which allows the interaction of users with display while wearing gloves.
The other specifications of this wonderful device are: 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 2,420mAh battery and last but not the least, a 13 Megapixel rear-facing camera. As far as software is considered, it works on Android Jelly Bean 4.1. The functionalities like power-saving display and Quick Power Controller provides approximately 30% power savings better than the Samsung Galaxy S III. This has also helped in reducing the charging power by 25 percent.
Huawei has introduced the new Emotion UI Android skin which makes android easier to use and understand, and it will be launched in the market through Ascend P2 only. Apple, the number two in the global smartphone market is still there to take the advantage of the NFC chip feature but Ascend P2 has already added it in its remarkable feature list. It can download HD movies in minutes, load online videos, web pages, songs or e-books in even seconds.
But as far as display and pixel density are concerned, it lacks behind those of Apple and HTC smartphones. In these features, it falls in "better than average" category, not the best one. When it comes to security related issues, it provides power management, traffic management and start-up management. The cloud services range from cloud storage to online backup to data synchronization.
Huawei’s Ascend P2 faces a tough competition from Sony Xperia Z, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC’s new flagship, One which will be available in this year only. Let’s see among all these smartphones, which catches the eyes of the users more and wins the race.
