Top seeds have been named for the Houston Tennis Association Zone Advancement Tournament, which will be held February 1-2 at seven Houston tennis sites. Lee LeClear Tennis Center, 9506 S. Gessner, is headquarters.

Draws are limited to 32 players, resulting in multiple seeds in some age divisions. Entrants total 471.

Top seeds in the boys age divisions are: 18s–Cooper Cearley, Kingwood; 16s—Shotaro Abe, Houston, and Matthew Jimenez, Humble; 14s—Amitesh Yeleswarapu, Katy, and Cody Vu, Southlake; and 12s—Conrad Li, Houston, and James Gullett, College Station.

Top seeds in the girls age divisions are: 18s–Marisa Martinez, Houston; 16s—Brynn Wreford, Katy, and Kristen Lawrence, Spring; 14s—Sydney Albro, Kemah, and Brooke Spivak, Katy; and 12s—Julie Thomas, Magnolia, and Kendall Krell, Cypress.

The youngsters earn points to qualify for championship status.
