HTA Houston Open super champ juniors compete March 15-16

The Houston Tennis Association Houston Open has named the seeds for the super championship juniors 12-14 major zone tournament, which begins Saturday, March 15, at five sites. Headquarters is Lee LeClear Tennis Center, 9506 S. Gessner.

Top seeds in the two draws of the super championship boys 14 singles are Campbell Erwin, Olmos Park, Mark Kanersky, Dallas, and Max Pearson, Friendswood. The top seeds in the girls 14s are Jacy Smith, Bryan, Nicole Goridkov, Allen, and Annika Pandey, Bee Cave.

There are multiple seeds in some age divisions because the draws are limited to 32 players. Tournament entrants total 301.

Top seeds in the super championship boys 12s are Savan Chhabra, Irving, and Corbin Ford, Scurry, and the No. 1 seeds in the super championship girls 12s are Kiana Graham, Austin, and Avery Williams, Fort Worth.

Finals of the divisions are scheduled for Sunday, March 16. Viewing is free.
