“Small guys can pack a punch," was a catch phrase in the immensely popular commercial that had a huge success on YouTube before it was ever televised on network TV stations.
What was perceived as biggest and most lucrative endorsement deal for extremely popular Pacquiao turned out to be a last ditch effort by Hewlett Packard to save the dying brand of smart phones and touch tablets.
Yesterday according to Fox news, the world’s largest manufacturer of personal computers announced that they will discontinue smart phone and touch pad sales and plan to sell or spin off personal computer division all together by the end of next year.
Hewlet Packard's move to end the smart phones and tablet division was a surprise to some especially considering that they acquired Palm for 1.8 billion dollars in 2009.
One very positive thing from this endorsement deal was that Hewlett Packard donated one thousand lap top computers to schools in Philippines on behalf of Manny Pacquiao.
