HP Chromebook 11 shows up at Best Buy

Chromebooks have been generating new excitement in the PC market, with HP now competing with Google for a market share of this exciting device. Best Buy is now offering a 4G LTE version of the HP Chromebook 11, with coverage from Verizon Wireless, reported PC World on Jan. 15, 2014. Although the $379 cost is $100 more expensive than the Wi-Fi version, users can get a $50 rebate after activating the service on this new device.

The LTE version of this Chromebook is very similar to its Wi-Fi sibling. With a 11.6-inch IPS display in a slick white chassis with blue accents, this is an attractive device. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of solid-state storage. This lightweight device is fast for getting onto the Web, and therefore it’s a good fit for 4G LTE connectivity. The Chromebook 11 only works in areas with 4G LTE coverage, so remember it won’t fall back to 3G when faster coverage is not available.

HP Chromebook 11 is an exciting device that just weighs 2.3-pounds, reports Digital Trends. Although this is an interesting device, it is not yet certain how consumers will respond to the updated HP Chromebook 11, in view of given the higher cost of ownership both in the short and long term.
