Howard Stern enraged gay men worldwide Monday morning by trashing Madonna's widely lauded performance at Sunday night's 2012 Super Bowl halftime show.
Stern was unimpressed by Madonna's 12 minute medley of 90s classics mixed with her less popular new hits, saying he just can't get all that jazzed about someone who's not actually singing.
“I don’t know on what level you judge Madonna," said Stern. "As a dancer she’s OK. As a 53-year-old woman, she certainly keeps herself in great shape and is rather spry for someone that age, BUT: You know, Kelly Clarkson’s performance is way more meaningful to me only because she’s actually singing. I’m one of those guys that loves to hear singers sing and not mouth the words...A couple of times I think she wasn’t even moving her mouth.”

Stern said that Super Bowl halftime show organizers may claim that Madonna was singing live, but any actual real singing from the pop icon was drowned out by a pre-recorded vocal track.
“It got really boring," Stern went on. "Vogue was good for about three seconds and then all of the sudden I went: ‘Oh my God, I’m not really watching this thing’ and I realized by the time she got to that new song, which she insisted on putting in—you don’t do that during a twelve minute set—the new song lost everyone and everyone was like: ‘OK, put away your pom pons and get the f**k off the stage’."
Stern said he numerous fans contacted him on Twitter suggesting that he pop out of the stage and blast Madonna with a firehose as he did in an America's Got Talent Super Bowl commercial from earlier in the evening.

"I got about a million tweets where people were just going: ‘Howard, please come out of the bottom of the stage with your hose and spray Madonna out of there’.
Madonna's co-performer Cee Lo Green also received a passing diss from the King of All Media:
“Cee Lo: what’s with this guy?" said Stern. "What’s his sexuality?…He had a big bathrobe on that sort of looked like…a feminine Darth Vader.”
