Howard Stern spent some time this week cultivating his on camera look for his upcoming gig at America's Got Talent, with mixed results.
Stern and his stylist Ralph Cirella shopped the John Varvatos store in Manhattan to score some custom-made King of All Media duds for Stern's primetime debut.
"I'm going to be on TV. I've got to wear something nice," said Stern.
But wardrobing Stern's 6'5" frame is no small task. Stern told his audience that in spite of Varvatos' amazing high end fashions, his own negative self-image overpowered the designer's fashion genius.

"When I went shopping yesterday for clothes for this America's Got Talent," said Stern. "I literally got ill. I brought it on. I just can't stand looking at myself. It's such a disappointment when I look in the mirror. It's just not fair. I should be very handsome, but I'm not. I'm a meeshkite."
John Varvatos was GQ's Designer of the Year in 2007.
