Howard Stern refused to comment on the status of Artie Lange's health, stating that he was leavving it to Artie Lange's family to decide when to make what sounds like it's going to be a pretty dreadful "announcement".
Howard Stern spoke up, though, against Howard Stern "fans" that have been trashing Artie Lange on the infamous Howard Stern Show bulletin board SternFanNetwork.
"My fans are wolves," said Howard Stern. "People are horrible. you know, people saying "'you know i hope artie dies. I hope Artie's this. I hope Artie's that.'" said the enraged King of All Media.
"How could you say that about Artie? He's so funny." Howard Stern also stated that "I want to hunt the guy down who wrote that, but you know, everyone's anonymous [on SternFanNetwork]."
Robin Quivers added: "Where does that come from in a human being?"

if howard wants to continue his enabling of artie i guess that's his choice. buying into all his lies and garbage seems foolish to me. artie is only out for artie. he doesn't care about anything but himself, his drugs and getting away with his nonsense. if anybody else on the show pulled the BS artie pulls they'd never hear the end of it. it's ridiculous. it's time for artie to be treated like everybody else - no more coddling. it's not fair to everybody else.
I love Artie on the show but if he cannot handle the hours and take car of himself maybe it is best for him to step away from the show, get clean and get healthy.
I'll miss the dude. I think he was a perfect addition to the crew and has made the show that much better; essentially improving on perfection, so the show will continue to be great without him.
That being said, How good was this round of "The History of Howard Stern"? Boy I loved it; especially the last three days, circa 94, which was the era I grew up on.
