The Howard Stern Show for Monday, March 11, 2013 featured the following highlights:
1. Howard punishes his audience: Howard Stern announced at the top of Monday's broadcast that he would be sharing 0.0 juicy details about his experience shooting the new season of "America's Got Talent" with new judges Heidi Klum and Mel B. Stern said he had decided to "punish" his satellite radio audience by withholding all the details because of the complaints he got last year that he talked about "AGT" too much.
“I started 'AGT,' but I’m going to punish the audience today and not tell you a f***ing thing about it. Because of all you scumbags who called when I was on 'AGT' last year and said I talked about it too much about it? 'Go f**k yourselves boy! Go f**k yourselves...This is a punishment. This is a punishment to all of you. I sat in my room and thought about ‘Wow, that’s really cool’ and I wrote all these notes about what I was going to tell you about it on the air. There’s some very interesting things going on there, but screw you!”
Stern specifically called out director Judd Apatow and singer Natalie Maines for publicly complaining about Howard Stern's "AGT" on their Twitter accounts last year. Even Stern Show superfan Mariann from Brooklyn couldn't coax any details out of her idol.
Robin Quivers, on the other hand, had plenty to say about last week's announcement that Heidi Klum had been added as a fourth judge. Quivers said that she no longer wants to watch the show, even with her best friend Howard on the judges' panel. Read all of Robin Quivers' comments here
2. Is Howard Stern the new Jimmy Fallon?: Howard dodged discussions about last week's rumor that NBC is considering him to replace Jimmy Fallon, which came on the heels of the rumor that Fallon will replace Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" after the 2014 season. Stern first said he couldn't "legally" discuss the rumors, but then later told his audience that the mere idea he'd be willing to take a spot as Fallon's follow-up guy was an "insult". He also said NBC executives said rumors that Jay Leno is leaving "The Tonight Show" are false. Read all of today's comments from Howard Stern about the Jimmy Fallon rumors here
3. Bubba the Love Sponge and his girlfriend in studio: Howard Stern's good pal Bubba returned to the Stern Show with his hot, young, new-ish girlfriend Nikki. Nikki and Bubba have been in a serious relationship for about a year, and Nikki moved into Bubba's infamous Florida compound last summer. Bubba talked at length about his recent legal battle with fellow Tampa DJ MJ Schnitt, discussed his ongoing feud with Hulk Hogan and gave a semi-convincing pitch about why his relationship with Nikki was so much healthier than the one he had with his ex-wife Heather.
Bubba also spoke about his current quest to brown nose his way back into Sirius XM management's good graces to get his old job on satellite radio back. Read the full story here
4. Gerard Butler in studio: Scottish actor and all around dreamboat Gerard Butler returned to the Howard Stern Show studio to promote his new film "Olympus Has Fallen," in which he plays a disgraced Secret Service agent who must rescue the President from terrorists attacking the White House.
More importantly, though, Butler talked about his fling with recent Howard Stern Show guest Brandi Glanville. The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star said last month that she had had sex with Butler and complimented his performance, but when Butler was quizzed for a comment about it by a paparazzo, he responded: "Who's Brandi Glanville?"
Butler said Monday that he did hook up with Glanville at a wild party, but hadn't know her name or that that she was a celebrity in any way. See a Howard TV video clip of the Gerard Butler interview here
