Howard Stern blew up the airways Tuesday morning saying that Lara Logan's sexual assault in Egypt is a good reason for women reporters to stay at home in the U.S.A.
Oh his first day back from vacation, the unrest in the Middle East was very much on his mind.
"Did you see what they did to that reporter from 60 Minutes?" said Stern of Lara Logan's attack. "Let me tell you something--if you're a female reporter sit this one the f--k out."
Logan was separated from her CBS crew in Tahrir Square on February 11th, shortly after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak announced his resignation. The CBS chief foreign affairs correspondent was surrounded by a mob of as many as 200 men, stripped, beaten and whipped while the crowd chanted "Jew! Jew!"

But don't take Stern's word for it. The King of All Media, who is often criticized for misogyny, recommended that his listeners read a recent article by ABC News reporter Ashleigh Banfield. In the piece, Banfield describes her own experiences of perpetual unwelcome groping while covering stories in the Middle East.
Howard Stern wondered aloud whether Logan would have been spared her brutal attack if she were less physically attractive.
"They send a hot piece of ass like that?" said Stern with incredulity. "Send a big whale over."

If someone as chauvinist, dishonorable and humorless (that's right) as Howard Stern is the "King of all Media" (choke) then the country that christened him has little hope of rising above its own base ignorance...

Labeling Howard as chauvinist and humorless is your opinion, but reading and judging from this summary of what was actually said describes a lot about you and your ignorance.
I thought he was right on the money with this one. People don't understand what women go through over there. And if your a westerner or look like one? Forget about it!
Telling women to risk sexual assault to cover something many, many men are just as capable of doing = enlightened.
Telling women to "sit this one out" = hating women.
Makes total sense.

LARA LOGAN IS VERY A BRAVE SHE HAS BEEN A REPORTER FOR OVER 19 YEARS IN ALEAST 4 OR 5 DIFFERENT WARZONES THE NAIROBI AND TANZANIA EMBASSY BOMBING S AND THE KOSOVO WAR IN THE 90'S AFTER 9/11 THE WAR AFGHANISTANI AND IRAQ AND CAME CLOSE THE TO DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY HERSELF TO GET TO THE STORY. BEFORE THIS I WISH HER WELL.
