Howard Stern's wife Beth Ostrosky Stern has finally weighed in on rumors her husband could replace Simon Cowell on American Idol.
"Beth O" (as she's known to Howard Stern Show fans) wouldn't reveal whether or not the King of All Media has entered into any official negotiations with American Idol producers, but she stood by her man when she was asked about his judging qualifications:
“He’s just having fun with the idea right now. As someone who gets to watch the show with him every week, I can tell you he is hysterical and brutally honest.”
Beth O gave the quote to a reporter from Women's Wear Daily during an interview at the Nicole Miller show during New York's Fashion Week. The former model-turned-socialite made fashion headlines at the event when she and Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford both showed up wearing the same white mini-dress.

Advocates for "family oriented television" have lashed out at American Idol producers for even considering Howard Stern as an option to replace Simon Cowell in Season 10. An organization called the Parents' Television Council (PTC) has issued a statement demanding that American Idol representatives publicly state that they will no longer consider Stern for the position.
