Howard Stern says Kanye West's performance of his new song 'Runaway' was the best moment at Sunday night's VMAs.
"Kanye West was the best performer," said Stern on Tuesday morning's broadcast. "Because he did a cool kinda song and he was working these electronic gizmos. But he's dancing around by himself on a stage, and I'm like: 'You've got to be an incredible narcissist.'...This guy, he's dancing around and he's carrying on."

"So you liked what Kanye did?" asked co-host Robin Quivers. "It was a song apologizing to Taylor Swift from what I understand."
"Listen, these songs, I don't know what anybody's singing about. I wouldn't know who he's apologizing to and I could care less. But he says 'Let's give a toast to the douchebags, the j--koffs, the scumbags and the a--holes...I like any song with scumbag, j--koff and douchebag."

Howard Stern stated that it was frustrating for him to watch Kanye West throw about the term "douchebag" on MTV, a channel own by Viacom. Stern commented that when he was hired by Viacom there was a clause in his contract that expressly stated the words "douchebag" and "scumbag" were off limits on air.
"For years I was banned from saying 'douchebag' and 'scumbag'" said Stern. He and Quivers reminisced on the period of time while the worked at NBC where they were allowed to use the words "douche" and "scum," as long as they weren't paired with the word "bag".
